Early Lhakhang by Karma Wangchuck
The very earliest stages of the lhakhang, which was the centerpiece of the Festival. To begin, a 40 foot by 40 foot wooden box was constructed on the National Mall. Since it was located above a tunnel and on designated federal property, no foundation was allowed to be dug.
