The lhakhang near its completion, after less than a month of construction by a Bhutanese-American crew. Bhutanese elements were shipped to the United States in a container. In the background is the Smithsonian Castle, which currently houses the administration for the 19 museums and 9 research centers administered by the Smithsonian Institution. The castle was finished in 1855.
