We would like to invite you to join us for a very special evening of Art, Charity, Community and fun!
The “ART OF GIVING” night is a unique VAST event, where artists donate their artworks to raise funds to sponsor the “Make a Wish program”. The night also includes delicious food, drink, entertainment and the art of giving.
What is MAKE A WISH program?
The Make a Wish Program is where VAST helps elderly people with sponsorship from you. The elders travel through Bhutan on pilgrimage to holy sites, to places which they have never had the chance to visit before in their lives. Young VAST volunteers guide and travel with the elderly on this unique pilgrimage. This creates a conducive environment for urban youth to interact and connect with rural elderly people.
So through your attendance and participation in the “ART OF GIVING” night you will be contributing to a unique program which
- Fulfills a life-long wish of elderly villagers
- Helps bridge generation gap, by connecting urban youth with rural elderly
- Forwards community spirit and volunteerism
- Educates our youth volunteers
- Gives you the opportunity to own an artwork by our own Bhutanese artists
At the Art of Giving Night, you will get the exciting and exclusive opportunity to participate in the silent Auction of VAST Art.
VAST artists and volunteers have donated their time, efforts and artwork into making wishes come true for our elderly villagers, and we now hope you too will join us in realizing this important and touching mission
